50 RPTRAs in Central Jakarta will Be Used as Shelter for Flood Victims

Around 50 child-friendly playgrounds (RPTRA) that spread in eight sub-districts in Central Jakarta are ready to be used into a shelter for residents affected by floods or other disasters.

This is because all existing RPTRAs in Central Jakarta are in a safe position from the flood

Moreover, he furthered, as many as 150 caretakers from those RPTRAs had undergone disaster management training, thus they were ready to assist the handling of refugees.

Nevertheless, his party would apply strict health protocol rules if RPTRA was used as a shelter during the pandemic.

"We'll the number of residents displaced in RPTRAs to around 50 percent of normal capacity to curb the spread of COVID-19," he stated.
